Professional Practice
Edward has a predominantly civil practice. He regularly acts for multinational corporations and listed companies in contentious and non-contentious matters. He has been involved in a wide spectrum of matters, including commercial fraud and asset recovery, construction, defamation, employment, and probate cases. Edward is also currently serving as a part-time Judicial Associate (General) at The High Court of Hong Kong.
Prior to joining the Bar, Edward won a number of advocacy prizes, and has worked as an intern in various prominent bodies, including the SFC and HKIAC. He also served as a judicial marshal to The Hon Mr Justice Aarif Barma JA (Hong Kong Court of Appeal) and served mini-pupillage in the UK, notably shadowing Sasha Wass KC and Simon Denison KC to the Old Bailey, and Lord David Pannick KC to the UK Supreme Court.
Edward is also a New York-qualified attorney. He also has rights of audience in the Astana International Financial Centre Court and the Singapore International Commercial Court. He is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
